Dilemma with the Homeless

This evening I was walking to my car from the pool and all of the sudden, a homeless person began to sign to me - "you have money, money food for burger". It was unexpected. I responded immediately in sign language, "Sorry, I cannot help you" in sudden fear and walked away quickly. He was surprised and so was I.

Now, is something wrong here? What have I done? I have always said homelessness, diseases and violence makes me angry. But I walked away from this situation. What if he grabbed my backpack, what if he grabbed my wallet? What would happen if I stayed and chat to give him money? Will that make a difference? I want to be able to make a difference. Was it because he's Deaf and I feel bad? Would I react differently if it was just another homeless person approaching me? Am I a thoughtless person? What would you have done in this situation?

There is absolutely nothing like a rainy day with a baby... Poor baby, he was bored out of his mind in this rain. All I can do is to try and entertain him, feed him, and then wanting to strangle him (but surely, I do not do that). There will be days when he gets older and will be saying to me, "Daddy, I'm bored!" But hey, this has already started!!

Yes, it has been more than a week since my last entry - and I am sorry about that. The nasty bug of gastro entered in our lives. HerMineLee's family was here and everyone got it including HerMineLee. The family is still on the mend, hopefully by the end of this weekend - everyone will start to feel 100% (knock-on-wood for me, too 'cause I still haven't got it yet).

Whatever happened to Spring?? The first day of Spring was absolutely gorgeous - like Summer back home in Detroit, Michigan - wow! Then by the end of this week, it's all gone back to wintery weather. Yick!!

Oh boy, I just cannot wait... I have just packed up for Mstr. T and I for our trip to Melbourne tomorrow morning. We will be joining HerMineLee for the weekend... HerMineLee is, unfortunately, working but Mstr. T and I will be playing all weekend in good ol' Melbourne. Why is this a bit green?? It's because HerMineLee and I will be going to see Wicked tomorrow night in Melbourne. I just cannot wait.

Today was a great day to start our weekend... It all started dancing with the 888 DAG Family at sydhappyguy's home. Such merriment and magical times we had!

Oh, another thing... Mstr. T and I got upgraded to B. Class on Qantas so I reckon, it'll be a "high flying" class travel - we are defying gravity...!!

Baby tooth - how long does it take?

This week is not my son's week. It is very hard to know what it is like when his first tooth comes out. It does look very uncomfortable, painful and irritating. The downside with this - is parent's sleepless nights, trying everything to please the baby to no satisfaction - wah!! WAHH!! WAAHHHHH!!


I remind myself to breathe and breathe, one more time - BREATHE - I am not the one in pain, he is! Ah, thank goodness for a magic drug I use seldomly, Children Panadol. It helps reduces my son's fever and pain. I also use Bonjela for immediate relief...


BUT How long?? How long will this go on for?? I wish there is magic to make his life easier. I pray this will improve over the weekend...

• Lady Cop: Do you...stop...understand? (What??!! - had to explain I'm Deaf and I was in a hurry home to see my son who's sick)


• Lady Cop: Oh, OK - uhmm, you realise you sped through two stop signs.


• Me: No, I didn't and if I have, I'm sorry - I must have been in the wrong here, I was in a hurry home to see my son. So sorry.


• Lady Cop: Well, give me your licence and registration please. (nervous and shaking...sh*t, I do not want another fine - probably two of them!!)


• Lady Cop: What if someone was walking...


• Me: Well, I would have stopped but that isn't the point. I was wrong. Really, my bad. I should've been more careful.

GAP Studio...

Yesterday, HerMineLee, Tobian and I went to GAP (no, not the store) Studio to have our pictures taken. Thanks to Subaru when I bought the car, they sent us a voucher for $800.00!! Yep, that's right - $800.00 for a family photo. So we thought, why not give this a go. Tobian was a star. Really photogenic... Watch this space!

A Sun's Love
I thought I understood love,
Until you came into my world.
I thought I understood magic
Until our eyes met.

The Sun rising on the horizon,
Roses blooming everywhere.
Tears drop, tears into a smile,
The smile melting in my heart.

Your laughter stops my world,
Picking you up and holding you tight.
Is this enough? Never enough.
Love is infinite. Love has no concept of time.

In the west, the Sun setting,
A petal of rose blowing to the west.
Our eyes locked to the Sun holding together,

It's all so new to me...

Gosh...how long do I have to wait? 6 hours, I have set up my clock at 4.50am to wake up. Why?? Battery, that's why - I was told charge it for 6 hours. (I don't want to wait for 6 hours tomorrow so I'll get up at 4.50am!!). Yeah - tomorrow's going to be a DAG day. Come eighty eight, eight! So looking forward to it...
